When mixed with water the suspended slippery elm bark powder absorbs the water and becomes characteristically thick and mucilaginous (slimy). One teaspoon of Slippery Elm Compound makes 4 teaspoons of slimy goodness your throat and digestive tract will love.
Suggested use:
Mix 1 tsp. with ½-1 oz water or herbal tea. Stir well and let sit 1-5 minutes to hydrate. As the suspended slippery elm absorb water it will develop its naturally heavy consistency. Take 3-4 times daily, or as needed. Shake well before use. Do NOT refrigerate.
